Year of Grace & Gratitude

The Year of Grace and Gratitude is a yearlong celebration of God’s blessings upon our parish, St. George. The year is marked by two main events. In 1938, the first Mass was celebrated in Coweta County at the home of Ellis Mansour. This year marks 80 years since that first Mass. In 1969, our current church was dedicated by Archbishop Donnellan. Therefore, next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the Mass of dedication. These two events give us cause to celebrate God’s grace with gratitude.

We have a series of events planned throughout the year. Please continue to check this page frequently for more information on the different events that are planned.

Feast of St. George

As we anticipate the celebration of the Year of Grace and Gratitude for the presence of the Catholic Faith in Coweta County, sales of the Feast of Saint George cookbook have begun! This beautifully designed cookbook ($20 each) contains 600 fabulous recipes and celebrates 80 years of the collective culinary diversity. Books can be purchased in the main office (Henderson Hall) at St. George Catholic Church.  Anyone is welcome to stop by and purchase copies! These make great gifts for all occasions!
