The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in the chapel, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am until 9:00pm. Come let us adore Him!
2020 Archbishop's Annual Appeal

Our Parish Goal is $57,700.

2020 Middle School Catholic Fest
Saturday, March 7, 2020
The St. George Youth Group will once again participate in this Archdiocesan-wide event, which will be held at the Notre Dame Academy in Duluth. This all-day event, involved nearly 1,000 middle school students from around the Archdiocese, includes games, Eucharistic Adoration, national speakers, live music, inflatables, cotton candy, snow cones, and a closing Vigil Mass, celebrated by the bishop. The best part for parents is that it is FREE for all St. George Parishioners.
Registration Forms are available during Youth Group, at the Faith Formation Table, or in the Parish Office, and are due back no later than Sunday, February 9.
St. George Parish Pilgrimage
October 4-13, 2020
If you are seeking to deepen your faith in a tangible way, Fr. Henry will lead a 10-Day Pilgrimage next year to Greece and Turkey, to follow in the footsteps of St Paul. The pilgrimage will include stops in Thessaloniki, Central Greece, Athens, Mykono, Patmos, and Ephesus, along with a 3-Day Aegean Cruise. Come learn about the Early Church and the lives of the earliest Christians. The cost per person is $3,895.00.
Please contact Mary Millay at 678.857.3747 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Pamphlets may be picked up on the Information Table in the Parish Hall.
Lifelong Faith Formation
"Catechesis is the act of handing on the Word of God intended to inform the faith community and candidates for initiation into the Church about the teachings of Christ, transmitted by the Apostles to the Church. Catechesis also involves the lifelong effort of forming people into witnesses to Christ and opening their hearts to the spiritual transformation given by the Holy Spirit." - USCCB
While Faith Formation is required for all K-12 students, it does not end at Confirmation, nor at the completion of High School. In order to have a well-formed faith, the faithful must continue to learn throughout their lives. Please take advantage of all of the Faith Formation opportunities available to you at St. George.
If you are interested in becoming Catholic, would like to deepen your understanding of the Catholic Faith, and/or are in need of completing your Sacraments of Initiation, the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program is for you. RCIA meets weekly on Sundays. If you know someone who has expressed an interest in the Church, invite them to attend with you. Please contact Deacon Ed Buckley (RCIA Coordinator) or Martha Vahanian (Director of Faith Formation) for more information.
Bible Timeline Series: The Story of Salvation
Come join us for this Adult Faith Formation series on Wednesdays, beginning at 7:00pm in the Parish Hall. It is not too late to join! For more information, contact Deacon Bill Heinsch (Adult Faith Formation Coordinator) or Martha Vahanian (Director of Faith Formation).
All Sessions take place on Saturdays at 10:00am
The Catholic Basics series is designed to help Catholics re-engage with the basics of their faith. This 10-part series is taught once a month in the Parish Hall. While open to all, participation is highly encouraged for Catechists, potential Godparents, and/or RCIA/Confirmation sponsors. Coffee and snacks offered, but feel free to bring food to share.

Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults
The Archdiocese of Atlanta provides VIRTUS training for all adults so that we, as a parish community, can ensure that all members of our parish community are safe from harm. Any and all members of parish ministries that come in contact with minors and vulnerable adults should attend a VIRTUS training so that, together, we can continue to keep everyone safe. Please click the logo to the left to be taken directly to the VIRTUS website.
In addition to VIRTUS training, all ministry members should have a background check on file. Please contact the Parish Office to run your background check and/or check your VIRTUS status.

St. George Haiti Store
The St. George Haiti store has been completely remodeled and now looks amazing. They still stock a wide variety of religious items like rosaries, prayer books, saint statues, medals, jewelry, and candles, just to name a few. The store is open after all weekend Masses, so stop by for all of your Catholic needs. All proceeds go to support the Haiti Ministry's continued efforts to help the people of Haiti, and they thank you for your continued patronage.
